12 October 2017: Danish-German-South Korean Drone R&D Workshop
In conjunction with the international conference TUS Nordic 2017 on 10 – 12 October 2017, Innovation Centre Denmark in Munich and Seoul are hosting an inspiring Drone R&D Workshop. The workshop will address current research and innovation challenges in the drone and UAS sector and facilitate possible R&D collaboration between German, Danish and South-Korean research institutions and universities.
Following the publication of the first Danish national Drone Strategy in October 2016, this “Denmark-Germany-South Korea Joint Research Workshop on Drones and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Technologies” aims to create a strong platform for inter-national research cooperation. Increasingly, more research and attention is given to drone usage in various areas and by hosting this workshop, ICDK Seoul and Munich gather researchers in developing drones / UAVs fields and technologies that contributes to unmanned aerial systems (UAS) such as navigation, speed, radar and more.
The workshop focuses on some of the most pertinent themes within drone research:
- Big data and digital possibilities
- Educational needs and curricula
- Emerging applications and new domains for drone usage
- Review upcoming funding-calls, where German, Danish and South-Korean re-search partners can join forces, such as Horizon2020, Eureka / EUROSTAR, the Danish Innovationsfonden, and relevant calls in South-Korea and Germany
The Drone R&D Workshop is open to 30 researchers and innovation actors from Denmark, South-Korea and Germany. The workshop is organised as a side event at the main TUS Nordics 2017 Conference & Exhibition. It will take place at the Odense Congress Center, Room ‘Odense’ on the 1st floor, between 13:00 and 15:30.
